About this hearing aid
The Signia Pure 312 5X is a premium-tier Receiver-in-Canal (RIC) hearing aid that delivers Signia's high-end audiology stack in one of the most discreet hearing aid styles available. The small body sits behind your ear with a near-invisible thin wire running into your ear canal, where a tiny receiver delivers sound.
The 5X adds two features that the mid-tier 3X doesn't have: Spatial SpeechFocus, an advanced directional microphone steering system that automatically focuses on the speaker even when they're not directly in front of you, and the Spatial Configurator, which lets your audiologist program bespoke Span and Direction settings into dedicated listening modes you can switch to for specific situations.
Own Voice Processing recognizes and separates the sound of your own voice from everything else, so you sound natural to yourself. Dynamic Soundscape Processing at maximum performance automatically recognizes your listening environment and adjusts the hearing aid's behavior in real time. Binaural Automatic / Adaptive Directionality coordinates both hearing aids to focus on the speaker in front of you in challenging noise, and TwinPhone (bilateral fit) routes phone calls to both ears.
The Pure 312 5X runs on a 32-channel signal-processing platform with 16 gain handles and supports up to 6 personalized hearing programs. Speech and noise management keeps voices clear in restaurants and gatherings, SoundSmoothing reduces sudden loud sounds, and binaural eWindScreen (in dedicated programs) suppresses wind noise across both hearing aids when fitted bilaterally. 3 dedicated HD Music presets preserve the timbre and dynamics of music (concerts, recorded music, live performance) — a meaningful upgrade for music lovers over the single preset on the 3X.
Made for iPhone direct streaming lets you take phone calls, listen to music, and watch videos with the sound coming straight into your hearing aid. Adaptive Streaming Volume keeps levels comfortable as the source changes. e2e wireless 3.0 pairs the left and right hearing aids so they work as one system. Wireless CROS/BICROS support is available with the optional CROS Pure 312 X or CROS Pure Charge&Go X accessory for patients with asymmetric hearing loss.
The Pure 312 5X is fitted with one of four receiver power options (S, M, P, or HP) chosen by your audiologist based on your audiogram, with peak outputs ranging from 119 dB SPL (S-receiver, for mild loss) up to 138 dB SPL (HP-receiver, for severe loss). The Pure 312 X is rated IP68 — the highest dust- and water-resistance grade in hearing aids — so it stands up to sweat, rain, and accidental splashes. A nanocoated housing adds extra protection against moisture and earwax. The size 312 zinc-air battery delivers approximately 76-78 hours of use.
A rocker switch and the Signia App (iOS and Android) give you direct control over volume and programs. An optional T-Coil battery door is available for hearing-loop venues. For tinnitus relief, the 5X includes both Notched Amplification Therapy and a static tinnitus noise therapy signal. TeleCare with Remote Services lets your audiologist make adjustments without a clinic visit.
